Sumners Come for a Visit

Jeremy, Tricia, Josie,
and Marlo came for a visit
a couple weeks ago. Of
course the mild weather
decided to leave for the
weekend and the cold
followed them from
Minnesota (this is a
common occurance when
they come to KC). We had
a good time and the kids

got along perfectly! Watching a movie before bed

Josie was awesome with Adam. She will be great with her new brother or sister!

I can't believe my baby is
a four-year-old! On the day of his birthday we went to Power Play.

Grandma and Papa from Minnesota came for his birthday party that weekend. Here is a pic of them on the Plaza after we ate at Cheesecake Factory.

Adrian got his first set of real Tiger Woods Nike golf clubs. Here are the wiffle golf balls he got with them. He is definitely NOT ready for the real thing yet. :)

It was a fun party with family.

McCain/Palin Rally

Beth and I went to see Sarah
Palin and John McCain when
they were in town on Monday.
When we arrived at 7:30am there
were already about 3,000 people
in line. We weren't very confident
about getting into the rally that
started at 10:30, but we were torwards
the end of the thousands that
made it in the building. There were
another 3,000 that didn't make it in
so there was an overflow area
outside where they could listen
to the speeches. It was an amazing
experience!

a bummer being that she
was the main reason we
battled the crowd, but this one
of McCain came out well with

I wish he could vote. :)

Veggie Tales Live

last Saturday and Dana and

Adrian received an early birthday
present from Uncle Dave and
Aunt Jackie. This tent has produced
many hours of excitement! (Not
only for Adrian and Adam, but for
Marcus and Nick as well.)

Dana held his second annual fantasy football
draft last Saturday night. Everyone seemed to
have fun, and we had to pause the draft to watch
the amazing Michael Phelps win his 8th gold. Dana
had better win some money this year with all the time
he puts into it! Although Nate is quite the sports fanatic,
and based on what I saw on his spreadsheet, he was
going to make some great pics...he is 8 by the way.

Adrian's first day of school
was last Thursday. He is going
to Maranatha Academy where
I went. I can't believe it, although
it has been 9 years since I graduated.
It is such a blessing that he has the
opportunity to attend a school
where he can receive a Christian
education.
He couldn't wait to start school.
He wears his backpack around
the house and plays school when
he is not actually at school.

Grandma and Papa from Minnesota
came to suprise Daddy for his 30th
Birthday. I think the boys were especially

A lot this summer.I am hoping I get

Moving into a new house this
summer has been a huge blessing.
We needed the room and the Lord
answered in a big way! Not only
did we get a ton of extra room
but also a house we love. He is so
good! Here are some pics of the
boys in our new home. I will try
to get some good pics of the
house later for those who haven't
seen it yet. The entire upstairs is hardwood
so Adrian and Adam have had
a blast playing on their ride on toys
in the house - mostly in the kitchen
right under my feet.

This 4th of July was one to remember. In the morning we did patriotic projects. Then we went to the Fields for Freedom picnic that my dad helps put together every year. Later in the afternoon we went and bought some of our own fireworks to set off. Adrian kept calling the place "Crazy Joe's fireworks". That was not the actual name so I assume he saw it on a commercial. It was cute none the less. We ended the day at a church where they had food and big jumpies for the kids and then of course fireworks at night. Although it wasn't the most exciting 4th I have ever had, it was by far one of the best just watching the excitement of the boys all day and spending it together as a family.

Hey Everyone,
My brother-in-law Jason and his wife Laurie inspired me to start a blog to keep family and friends updated on what is going on in our lives. At the moment, Jason and Laurie are known in the blogging world as the Oregon Rythers, but soon they will be moving to KC (yea!!) and we will have 2 sets of KC Rythers. Laurie, because I basically stole the idea from you, when you arrive you will have first dibs on "KC Rythers". I will just borrow it for now. :)
I will be posting recent pictures of the boys soon, so keep checking back!
